LETHBRIDGE MODERN: ASPECTS OF ARCHITECTURAL MODERNISM IN LETHBRIDGE FROM 1945 - 1970

The main exhibition featured educational, religious, commercial and industrial buildings - the Genevieve E. Yates Memorial Centre (1965), Paramount Theatre (1950), the Beth Israel Synagogue (1955), the Mondrian-inspired office for Meech Mitchell and Meech Architects (1953), the Notherside Fire Department Headquarters, (1960-72), the Water Tower (1958), Adams Ice Centre (1961), Lethbridge Public Library (1949), St. Augustine's Anglican Church (1955), University of Lethbridge (1970), Lethbridge Junior and Vocational College (1962), George McKillop School (ca. 1960), Bigelow Fowler Medical Clinic (1964), the Bank of Nova Scotia (1962), as well as W.R. Meyers High School and D.A. Ferguson Middle School in Taber (ca. 1955) while the related exhibitions at the Trianon Gallery (up, 104-5th Street South) displayed models and photographs of local modern houses - Haig, Black, Ferguson, Foos, Pocza, Osterberg, Robins, Wood, Haufe, Long and Lanier residences.
